De Fa Chang was founded in 1936 and has a history of 82 years. It is famous both at home and abroad for its “eternal flavor” dumpling feast with strong national characteristics.
Dumpling feast, as a food culture, is multifaceted. As early as two thousand years ago during the Western Han Dynasty, dumplings were called “Crescent-shaped ravioli”, and in the Song Dynasty, they were called “boiled horns”. In the early 1980s, based on the dumpling and wrapping, De Fa Chang made a series of dumplings with a variety of ingredients and flavors, cooking and nutrition, form and art, diet and culture, and cleverly combined them to make “one dumpling, one shape and one form, one hundred dumplings, one hundred fillings, one hundred flavors”. Dumpling banquet is divided into 8 different types of banquets, 6 seasoning and various tastes. With the help of sculpture, kneading, combination and embellishment techniques,the dumpling dish is made into the shape of flowers, birds, fish, insects and other animals and plants. It is recognized as the “Chinese famous snack” by the state, and has developed 318 varieties of dumplings, which has set a world record and become the restaurant with the most varieties of patterned dumplings in the world.
